PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device, an update method, and a program which allow projection with a resolution of an output object of an external device without burdening a user.SOLUTION: A projector 10 connected to a PC by an HDMI cable includes: an EEPROM 101 which is referred to by the PC and in which an EDID of the projector 10 is stored; an acquisition unit 115 which acquires resolution information indicative of a resolution of an output object of the PC; and an update unit 119 which, if the resolution indicated by the resolution information is a resolution coped with by the projector 10 and the resolution indicated by the resolution information is not included in the EDID, updates the EDID so that the resolution indicated by the resolution information is included in the EDID. |
