PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device and a power reception device which allow for enjoyment both of the benefits of an H-type core and the benefits of a coil structure capable of adjusting the coil length and coil position.SOLUTION: A transmission device transmits power, in non-contact, to a secondary coil mounted on a vehicle. The transmission device includes a core 70 formed of a magnetic material, a plurality of primary coils L1,L2, L3 wound around the core, and a coil selection part 32 which can adjust the length or the position of a coil used for transmission, by selecting some of the plurality of primary coils and connecting them with a load or a power supply. The core includes a plurality of wide sections 71-74 around which the winding is not wound, and a plurality of narrow sections 81-83 formed between the wide sections 71-74 and narrower than the wide sections 71-74, and around which the winding of the plurality of primary coils are wound, respectively. |
