PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane emission laser element the laser oscillation wavelength of which is controlled with high accuracy, and to provide a plane emission laser array element.SOLUTION: A plane emission laser element includes a first mirror and a second mirror constituting an optical oscillator, an active layer arranged between the first and second mirrors and having an emission region, and a wavelength adjustment layer arranged between the first and second mirrors. The wavelength adjustment layer has an optical length in the layer thickness direction dependent on the in-plane position, at least in a region within the width of electric field distribution of laser light oscillating in the optical oscillator. |
