PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element in which electron mobility of an electron injection layer can be improved, and other beneficial effects can be exerted, and to provide a display device, an illuminating device, and a method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element 10 is manufactured by laminating, on a transparent substrate 1, a first electrode film (negative electrode) 2 consisting of an ITO film, an electron injection layer (first metal oxide layer) 3 consisting of an IGZO film, a buffer layer 4, a light-emitting layer 5, a hole transport layer 6 consisting of an α-npd layer, a hole injection layer (second metal oxide layer) 7 consisting of a molybdenum trioxide layer, and a second electrode film (positive electrode) 8 consisting of gold, sequentially in this order. |
