PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector having a strong optical coupling even when SiPM elements are arranged in a matrix shape in a PET-MR.SOLUTION: A radiation detector 1 can prevent air bubbles from entering and contaminating a first adhesion layer 21 and a second adhesion layer 23 because a gap part 15 and an aperture 25 are filled with a high-viscosity adhesive. As the result, more accurate image information can be obtained because scintillator light is not dispersed due to air bubbles. Besides, weakening of optical coupling in the radiation detector 1 can be avoided because of the prevention of contamination by air bubbles. Thus, in the radiation detector incorporating SiPM elements with the gap part 15, the optical coupling is not weaken. Since the SiPM elements are free from influence of a strong magnetic field generated from a MR device, the radiation detector can be used for PET-MR, or a PET-MR having a radiation detector with stronger optical coupling can be achieved. |
