PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of a diffusing plate which may fix the diffusing plate using a fixing member in a stud shape to prevent movement of the diffusing plate and prevent development of dark areas on the diffusing plate by providing a reflective portion to the fixing member in order to provide best quality images, and a display apparatus.SOLUTION: A display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display panel configured to display an image, and a backlight unit configured to emit light to the liquid crystal display panel. The backlight unit includes a bottom chassis comprising an accommodation space configured to accommodate many light sources, a middle mold provided on the bottom chassis, a diffusing plate provided on the middle mold, and a fixing member provided on an outer surface of the bottom chassis and configured to contact one side of the diffusing plate and prevent movement of the diffusing plate.
