PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the sensitivity characteristics of each color by a microlens formed by a novel shape control method.SOLUTION: A solid state image sensor comprises: a filter part in which a filter for transmitting respective colors is arranged for each pixel, corresponding to a plurality of pixels receiving light of a certain color, and a microlens array part in which a plurality of microlenses, laminated for the filter and collecting the light for each pixel, are arranged in array corresponding to the pixels. The plurality of microlenses are formed in at least two kinds of different shape corresponding to the color of light received by the pixels, so that the ends of adjacent microlenses come into contact with each other. The technique is applicable to a rear-surface irradiation type solid state image sensor. |
