PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a belt type continuously variable transmission capable of appropriately restarting a vehicle even when the vehicle is suddenly braked and is stopped.SOLUTION: The control device of a belt type continuously variable transmission includes a change speed gear which operates a movable sheave of a primary pulley in the pulley axis direction and controls change gear ratio, and a thrust device which generates thrust for pressing the movable sheave of a secondary pulley to the fixed sheave side. Therein, the thrust device is constituted with a torque cam mechanism which generates thrust in accordance with the extent of torque passing between a first cam member and a second cam member opposite to each other in the rotation axis direction, and starting change speed means (steps S2,S3) which relatively rotates the first cam member with respect to the second cam member, actuates the change speed gear and sets the maximum change gear ratio or advancing change gear ratio when the change gear ratio does not get to the maximum change gear ratio or the starting change gear ratio suitable for the starting while the vehicle is stopped is provided. |
