PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a shift position notification device to be mounted on an appropriate mounting position easily.SOLUTION: A shift position notification device 5 stores (learns) an output voltage value corresponding to each shift position of a shift lever 4 as a storage value in advance, and when an output voltage value is input from a range sensor 16 as a measurement value, a current shift position is specified by using the stored storage value of each shift position. In a housing, a projecting part is provided in a fixed manner in which length in a detection direction of the range sensor 16 substantially coincides with a distance from a front surface part of the housing to the peak of the output voltage of the range sensor 16. When a user mounts the shift position notification device 5, all the user has to do is to shift the shift lever 4 to a parking position which is the position closest from the shift position notification device 5, and to bring an end part of the projection part into contact with the shift lever 4. |
