PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of preventing erroneous detection in a sensor detecting a waste ink amount in a waste ink bottle and correctly detecting waste ink amount in the waste ink bottle, which eliminates the risk of erroneous detection likely to occur if a waste ink adheres to a sensor, such as a photo sensor, detecting capacity of the waste ink bottle, etc.SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes a mounting part which is a mounting table mounting the waste ink bottle and is supported rotatably about a fulcrum, a standing part vertically disposed from the mounting part, a sensor part in which an insulating part provided with a sensor is inserted between a bending part and the standing part, and a guide part provided at a front part of the mounting part so that a side surface of the waste bottle is in close contact with the standing part when the waste bottle is mounted. The inkjet printer also includes calculation means calculating the waste ink amount on the basis of pressure loaded on the sensor, the pressure varying in accordance with an amount of the waste ink stored in the waste bottle, so that it is possible to detect the amount of the waste ink. |
