PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator, water flow generation device and wind power/water flow generation device of superior generating efficiency under applicability of lateral flow and either an upward or downward flow on land, on water and under water.SOLUTION: This power generator 10 comprises a rotary shaft 11 installed in a vertical direction, a Darrieus blade 12 having a substantial elliptical shape connected to the rotary shaft and rotated around the rotary shaft and a power generator 15 for generating power through the rotary shaft through rotation of the Darrieus blade by either wind or water flow. The Darrieus blade 12 is constituted such that it has a prescribed angle at either below or above a horizontal line (b) crossing at a right angle with an axis (a) of the rotary shaft and it can be rotated under a state approximate to a propeller type blade by either wind or water flow from below.
