PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic power steering device that can avoid uncomfortable feeling of a driver when a valve driving motor is broken.SOLUTION: An electric motor for controlling an opening of a hydraulic control valve 14 is duplexed. When failure occurs in a valve driving motor 15A currently in use to operate the hydraulic control valve 14, a duplex system control part 73 controls a drive circuit selection part 69 and a current selection part 71 so that a second valve driving motor 15B is selected as an electric motor for operating the hydraulic control valve 14. The duplex system control part 73 gradually reduces a gain G. When the gain G becomes lower than a predetermined value, the duplex system control prat 73 outputs a bypass valve opening command (bypass valve control signal). |
