摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the lateral rigidity of a vehicle hood without impairing shock absorbing performance with respect to a collision body.SOLUTION: A curved reinforcing member 12 is arranged under an inner panel 16 so as to form a predetermined gap between the reinforcing member 12 and a beam part 20, and is integrally fixed to the inner panel 16 at both ends in a vehicle width direction to increase the lateral rigidity of a vehicle hood 10, whereby the thickness of an outer panel 14 and thickness of the inner panel 16 can be decreased to achieve weight reduction. When a collision body 36 collides with the vehicle hood 10, the reinforcing member 12 is pressed downward together with the outer panel 14 and the inner panel 16 to be bending deformed, and an opening of the beam part 20 is pressed by the reinforcing member 12, whereby the opening side of a hat cross-section is smoothly expanded and deformed along the reinforcing member 12. Consequently, collision energy can be absorbed properly by the deformations to obtain excellent shock absorbing performance regardless of the presence of the reinforcing member 12.
