<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, as printing cannot be stopped even if a defective nozzle is detected during the printing when the printing is performed on a continuous paper, a printed matter with a significant image defect overlooked is produced.SOLUTION: When starting a state-confirming sequence during printing, an image formation device performs a flushing operation and a nozzle defect detection (discharge abnormality detection) operation, and when detecting a defective nozzle (an abnormal discharge nozzle) and using the defective nozzle in printing (image formation), records and holds a page range in which the defective nozzle occurs and after finishing the printing, notifies a user of the page range in which an image defect may be caused.</p> |
