PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress initiation of information input by both hands which is not intended by a user.SOLUTION: An input device 12 comprises: a person position acquisition unit 21 for acquiring a position of a person; a hand position acquisition unit 22 for acquiring positions of a plurality of hands; an operation area setting unit 23 for setting a virtual operation area in front of the person; a reference area setting unit 24 for setting a virtual reference area to a prescribed location against the person; and an input information acquisition unit 25 for respectively calculating a first and a second direction lines which indicate motion directions of a first and a second hands when touching the operation area, when the first and the second hands among the plurality of hands touch the operation area at the same time or with time difference, and for starting acquisition of input information based on the positions or motions of the first and the second hands when both of the first and the second direction lines pass the reference area set to the person corresponding to the operation area and it is determined that the first and the second direction lines have symmetry against the person corresponding to the operation area.
