PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimension measuring apparatus for a metal thin plate and a dimension measuring method for a metal thin plate, capable of accurately measuring a dimension of a metal thin plate while allowing easy maintenance work. ! SOLUTION: A dimension measuring apparatus for a metal thin plate comprises: a tensile plate 21 bendable and deformable into a downward-convex warped shape; a pair of retention mechanisms 22 formed on the tensile plate 21 and configured to hold both opposing end portion areas of the metal thin plate 31 on the tensile plate 21 bent and deformed in the downward-convex warped shape; and a measurement mechanism 13 configured to measure at least one dimension of the metal thin plate 31 under the tensile force through increasing a distance of the pair of retention mechanisms 22 from each other by a resilience from the bending deformation of the tensile plate 21. !
