<p>The system has a passive optical chip (2) provided with waveguides (3, 10) and a reflective structure (5) in its upper surface. The chip is covered by an active or non-linear thin layer portion (8) powered by a laser diode (1), where the portion covers a portion (7) of one of the waveguides. A first coupler (13) is formed by waveguide portions (14, 15), which are not covered by the thin layer portion and located on sides of the thin layer portion along an optical path. A second coupler (16) is formed by portions (17, 18) of the waveguides, which are not covered by the thin layer portion.</p> |
