The invention relates to a method for managing the energy of a rail vehicle (2) comprising a plurality of on-board energy sources (12, 14) and electrical energy consumers (4, 20), said method comprising, for each source, steps of: defining a set value of electrical energy to be supplied by said source; acquiring information relating to at least one functional characteristic of said source; determining a quantity of electrical energy that should be supplied by said source according to the functional characteristic of said source; selecting another source if the set value is higher than the determined quantity of energy; and instructing the other source to supply the difference in energy between the set value and the determined quantity of energy. |
