METHOD FOR SETTING ENGINE SYNCHRONIZATION BY USING ENGINE ROUGHNESS

Disclosed is a method for setting an engine synchronization using an engine roughness. According to the present invention, an engine synchronization can be precisely set even when a cam sensor is not mounted on an engine, by determining a satisfaction of a predetermined engine synchronization setup initiating condition when an engine which is driven by an engine control unit is in an idle state and acquiring an engine roughness value during a predetermined engine driving cycle, if the engine synchronization setup initiating condition is satisfied; and if the allowance condition is not satisfied after determining whether a predetermined allowance condition satisfies the acquired engine roughness value, changing the current cylinder number recognized to correspond to the state of the driven engine to the next sequential cylinder number or changing the current cylinder number to a specific synchronous cylinder number for synchronization of the engine, and setting an engine synchronization for the cylinder corresponding to the changed cylinder number.
