Disclosed are a blind type photovoltaic power generation apparatus and a control method. The blind type photovoltaic power generation apparatus includes: a main body; panel frames rolling up or down in the main body, wherein a plurality of solar cells are provided on one side surface of the panel frame; a hinge through which the solar cells are coupled to each other; and a controller to control the hinge in accordance to each generation state of the solar cells such that the solar cells are independently operated in a predetermined pattern for the purpose of either one of shielding, lighting and electric generation.
