A tool post for CNC lathe is provided to perform turret indexing and tool rotation with a single motor, thereby reducing the length of tool post. A tool post for CNC lathe comprises a turret(1) in which a tool(2) is mounted, a tool rotation unit(3) rotating the tool mounted on the turret, a tool rotation drive unit(4) transferring torque to the tool rotation unit, a turret indexing unit(6) perform indexing of the turret, a gear shifting unit(5) transferring torque selectively to the tool rotation drive unit and the turret indexing unit to perform one of the tool rotation function and the turret indexing function, and a drive unit(7) transferring torque to the gear shifting unit. |
