PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection member which is attached to wire harnesses having various outer diameters without causing backlash and is excellent in passage maintenance performance.SOLUTION: A protection member 20 covers an outer periphery of a wire harness body 12 to protect the wire harness body 12. The protection member 20 is formed into a shape that covers at least a part of the outer periphery of the wire harness body 12 and has an opening 22 formed at a part of the outer periphery. The protection member 20 is formed by hot pressing a nonwoven member and has elasticity such that the protection member 20 may deflect to inner and outer peripheral sides. Preferably, an outer peripheral side portion 20a of the protection member 20 is softer than an inner peripheral side portion 20b of the protection member 20.
