MULTI-VIEW 3D IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS USING MODIFIED COMMON VIEWING ZONE |
摘要 |
Disclosed is a multi-view three-dimensional (3D) image display apparatus using a modified common viewing zone. The multi-view 3D image display apparatus may use a modified common viewing zone between a central viewing zone (common viewing zone) of the multi-view 3D image display apparatus and a central viewing zone (parallel viewing zone) of a 3D image display apparatus employing an integral photography method, or form a common viewing zone at an optimum viewing distance (OVD) of the multi-view 3D image display apparatus and use a modified common viewing zone in an area beyond the OVD. |

1. A multi-view three-dimensional (3D) image display apparatus, comprising:
a display panel in which pixels are arranged; a parallax separation means or a line light source arranged so as to be spaced apart from the display panel; and a control unit configured to control formation of a modified common viewing zone in which viewing zones for each viewpoint pixel are arranged in a space, by viewpoint images created by the pixels of the display panel and the parallax separation means or the line light source, wherein, in the modified common viewing zone, a first horizontal position of a viewing zone for each first viewpoint pixel created by a first pixel set on the display panel providing the viewpoint image and a first position of the parallax separation means or the line light source corresponding to the first pixel set, and a second horizontal position of a viewing zone for each second viewpoint pixel created by a second pixel set adjacent to the first pixel set and a second position of the parallax separation means or the line light source corresponding to the second pixel set, are not the same. |
