The air filter (10) has a filter housing (14) carrying a filter medium (16). The filter housing comprises a guiding- and positioning element (22) for connecting the air filter with a corresponding guiding- and positioning element (42) in a receiving shaft (12) of the ventilation device and a sealing element (20) for sealing the filter housing against the receiving shaft. A sealant is provided in area of the guiding- and positioning element of the air filter, by which a sealing unit is formed in the area of the guiding- and positioning element of the receiving shaft.
