The seat has a seat portion adjustable on a path (BK) by a coupler of a coupled gear, where the path and a movement of the seat of a vehicle from an intersection point are determined by a notch pin path (R) and a gear pin path (G). The coupler is designed as a strut of the seat or connected with the strut. The coupler is adjustable by a drive. An inclination of the seat portion is adjustable during displacement of the seat portion from a front top position into a rear down position. A drive element is coupled with a sensor for detection of an eye level of a driver or a front seat passenger.
