PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing the deformation or damage of the end face of an endless belt, and restoring the attitude of the endless belt to a reference attitude following the axis of rotation.SOLUTION: When the end face of an endless belt 110 is strongly pressed to a regulation surface 180A of a regulation member 180, for example, a press spring 190A is contracted and a press spring 190B is expanded, the regulation member 180 is tilted such that the regulation surface 180A is uniformly brought into contact with the end face of the endless belt 110. As a result, it is possible to prevent the deformation or damage of the end face of the endless belt 110. Then, when the pressing force of the end face of the endless belt to the regulation surface 180A is decreased, for example, the press spring 190A is expanded and the press spring 190B is contracted, the regulation member 180 is tilted, and the regulation surface 180A is restored to an initial position. As a result, it is possible to restore the attitude of the endless belt to a reference attitude following the virtual axis of rotation. |
