PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device capable of reducing deterioration of a water level electrode detecting a water seal state even under an environment where a combustion operation is executed for a long time.SOLUTION: A gas hot water supply device 1 includes a water seal tank 17a for water-sealing a drain discharge pipe 16 to discharge drain generating in secondary heat exchangers 24, 34, a water level electrode 18 for detecting a water level of the water seal tank 17a, and a control portion 4 for monitoring the water seal state by energizing the water level electrode 18 at a prescribed energization period A. When the water seal state of the water seal tank 17a is detected in a combustion operation of burners 21, 31, the energization period to the water level electrode 18 is changed to a period longer than the energization period A, according to a CO emission amount calculated on the basis of the combustion operation, to suppress an integrated energization time to the water level electrode 18. |
