PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving object traveling area recognition system and a moving object traveling area recognition method capable of highly accurately recognizing a traveling area of a moving object without being influenced by weather (cloudy) or an obstacle and capable of reducing operation cost and labor and improving working efficiency.SOLUTION: A moving object traveling area recognition system includes a plurality of markers 2 installed on respective corners P of an operation target area and a grass mower 1 moving in the operation target area, each marker 2 includes electromagnetic wave transmission means 3 for transmitting an electromagnetic wave with a long wavelength, and the grass mower 1 includes calculation means 4 for receiving electromagnetic waves transmitted from respective electromagnetic wave transmission means 3 by a rotary antenna 11 and finding out a position of the grass mower 1 from a reference line A of the grass mower 1 and angles α, &bgr; of respective markers 2. |
