PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design of an enhanced heat exchanger in the form of an air-cooled surface cooler for use in turbomachines.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger apparatus includes: at least one cooling channel 84 formed within and about an engine booster lip or an engine nacelle and configured to receive a flow of a circulating working fluid; and at least one fluid port communicating with the at least one cooling channel 84 and with an exterior of the engine booster lip or the engine nacelle.
