A secure password input method for a smart phone is disclosed. The password input method comprises the steps of displaying a password input screen consisting of a keyboard for text input, a challenge area for exposing challenge information related to passwords, and an activation button for requesting exposure of the challenge information; exposing the challenge information on the password input screen if the activation button is inputted from a user; and authenticating the password of the user by receiving a response to the challenge information through the keyboard from the user. |
