PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification device capable of achieving excellent exhaust gas purification performance while curbing an increase in a pressure loss.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purification device 100 comprises: a honeycomb catalyst body 10; a honeycomb filter 30; and a cylindrical can body 50 which stores the honeycomb catalyst body 10 and the honeycomb filter 30. The honeycomb filter 30 has single closed-end cells 22b and double open-end cells 22a which are arranged next to each other through second separation walls 21. The can body 50 has a trunk section 51 in a straight shape with a uniform inner diameter. The honeycomb catalyst body 10 and the honeycomb filter 30 are arranged inside the trunk section of the can body 50 so that: a distance between a first outflow end face 12 of the honeycomb catalyst body 10 and a second inflow end face 31 of the honeycomb filter 30 is not more than 60 mm and an angle α between an extending direction P1 of a first cell 2 of the honeycomb catalyst body 10 and the extending direction P2 of a second cell 22 of the honeycomb filter 30 is 2 to 16°.
