PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of being reduced in the size and suppressing the occurrence of trouble such as abnormal noise due to contact between the bending part, etc. of a wiring cable and a drive unit and the drive defect of the drive unit with respect to a mobile body.SOLUTION: An image reading device 1 includes a flexible wiring cable 50 that is arranged inside a base part 10 and where one end part 50A is fixed to a middle part between a base end 11L and a terminal end 11R on a bottom surface 11 and the other end part 50B is connected to a reading unit 3. The wiring cable 50 includes: a first extension part 51 extending from the one end part 50A toward the terminal end 11R along the bottom surface 11; a bending part 53 continuing from the first extension part 51, bending to approach a reading surface 8A, and then turning toward the base end 11L; and a second extension part 52 continuing from the bending part 53 and extending toward the base end 11L to reach the other end part 50B. A drive unit 30M and at least the bending part 53 of the wiring cable 50 are at least partially overlapped when viewed from a first direction. |
