PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear pillar in which unnecessary mass increase of a vehicle body is suppressed and rigidity performance is raised higher than before. ! SOLUTION: A rear pillar 1 is mounted at the rear edge part of a vehicle body. The rear pillar 1 comprises an inner reinforce 2, an outer reinforce 3, and an inner extension member 4 which is arranged between the inner reinforce 2 and the outer reinforce 3 and forms a closed space between the inner reinforce 2 and itself. A part of the inner extension member 4 is arranged along the diagonal line of a closed cross section formed by the inner reinforce 2 and the outer reinforce 3. The inner extension member 4 is of a shape which approaches gradually the shape along the inner surface of the inner reinforce 2 from a position as getting away from the part. !
