The system (12) has a light unit adjusted by an adjustment device (15) and producing light distribution in activated state such that adjustment of the light unit is feasible by a control unit. Dot (P1) of produced light dark borders (16), short HDG and a pixel position (PI-1) of an image capturing unit (10) are determined. The control unit is controllably connected with the adjustment device such that displacement of reference dots is feasible into the dot, the associated pixel position of the capturing unit is determinable and reference displacement in the control unit is evaluable. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a light unit of a lighting system.
