摘要 Provided is a liquid crystal display device which can respond at high speed as well as is excellent in liquid crystal alignment. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal layer including a liquid crystal composition that includes a cyclohexane compound represented by chemical formula 1; and a liquid crystal alignment film formed based on a liquid crystal aligning agent that includes at least one polymer (A) selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid, polyimide and polyamic ester. In chemical formula 1, each of R11 and R12 is a monovalent chain hydrocarbon group, and Q1 is a divalent group represented any one among chemical formulas 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3. In chemical formulas 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3, X is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, and Y is a halogen atom.
