METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT IN CONNECTION WITH READING OUT OF DRIVER CARDS

An arrangement in connection with reading out information from a driver card for a vehicle, which arrangement comprises a card reader, a first communication unit arranged in the vehicle and a second communication unit arranged in a traffic processing unit. The card reader is adapted so as to receive a driver card and read information from and add information to the driver card. The information is transferred to a processing unit through the first and second communication units. The processing unit is adapted to determine whether a read-out is to occur from the driver card. If a read-out is to occur, the processing unit generates a read-out instruction that is transferred to the card reader through the first and second communication units, which performs a read-out of driver information. The read-out information is then transferred to the traffic processing unit through the first and second communication units.
