The manufacturing method of a thin film transistor comprises: forming patterns of a source (6) and a drain (8) of a thin film transistor, and forming a pattern of an active layer (4), so that edges of the active layer (4) and the drain (8) on one side of the drain (8) form a step-like structure. The array substrate comprises the thin film transistor, and the display device comprises the array substrate.
