<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptor having means for cleaning an optical junction part.SOLUTION: An adaptor 100 includes a housing 105 having opening portions which are directed in mutually opposite directions in order to receive a first connector 710 capable of physically and optically joining with a second connector 720 so as to form one or more optical signal communication links. The housing 105 is configured to include a slot for receiving a flexible material 160 having a refraction factor close to the refraction factor of an optical fiber making a matching pair. The flexible material 160 substantially has a size to cover the fiber from each of the connectors 710, 720. The optical fiber terminal ends of the individual connectors 710, 720 can be cleaned by inserting the connectors 710, 720 into the adaptor 100 so as to make the flexible material 160 advance forward. After the flexible material 160 is made to further advance, the optical signal communication link is formed between the optical fibers.</p> |
