摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic calibration method of a scanning type endoscope system capable of giving a uniform calibration result free from variations by operators.SOLUTION: An automatic calibration method comprises: a light scanning step of performing light scanning by driving an actuator based on scanning parameters; a scanning locus acquisition step of acquiring a scanning locus of scanning light emitted from a leading end of an optical fiber; and an adjustment step of adjusting the scanning parameters so that the acquired scanning locus becomes a predetermined reference scanning locus. The adjustment step comprises: a frequency adjustment step of adjusting a frequency of a driving voltage of the actuator so that the amplitude of the scanning locus becomes the maximum; a phase adjustment step of adjusting phase differences of the actuator between an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction so that the scanning locus becomes almost completely round; and an amplitude adjustment step of adjusting the amplitude of the driving voltage of the actuator in an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction so that the magnitude and shape of the scanning locus fall within a predetermined range.</p>
