A biopsy system is provided with: an endoscope which is provided with an insertion section having a curving section which is capable of being curved along a predetermined curved surface according to the operation of an operating section; and a treatment device for the endoscope, the treatment device having a needle pipe, being inserted through the endoscope, and being capable of being affixed to the endoscope by an affixation section while being inserted through the endoscope. The needle pipe is configured in such a manner that part of the front end side thereof is flattened in the radial direction and is formed as a flat section having a major axis and a minor axis. While being inserted through the endoscope, the treatment device for the endoscope is affixed by the affixation section so that the minor axis of the flat section of the needle pipe and the curved surface are parallel to each other. |
