A stretch blow-moulded article or a preform for making such an article is disclosed, which is formed from a composition comprising a polyethylene having a natural density of 948-963 kg/m3 and a melt index MI2 of 0.5-3 g/10min, and 0.3-7wt% of a non-reflective opacifying agent, defined as being a compound which when present at a level of 2wt% in a 400μ&eegr;ι thick pressed film of polyethylene causes the film to reflect less than 50% of infra-red radiation having a wavelength of 900nm. The use of such a non-reflective opacifying agent such an article or preform is also disclosed. |
