PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method and a forming apparatus that prevent the occurrence of underfill in the root vicinity of a flange part, without replacing a gripping member for gripping a blank.SOLUTION: An outer end of a blank 40 is thickened by pressing an outer end of the blank 40 toward a central axis using a concave part of a first tool 78a having a concave surface, in a state where a gripping member is made to grip a blank while projecting an outer end part of the blank 40 outside in the radial direction from the outer circumferential surface of the gripping member. Next, the thickened part is pressed toward a central axis by using a second tool 78c with a surface formed in a V-shape, and thereby is axially divided into two. Then, a drum part is formed by axially prolonging a portion of the one divided thickened part on the axial other divided part side and the all of the other divided part, using a second tool 78c and/or a third tool 78d. After that, a flange part is formed by pressing the one axial end surface of the one divided part toward the other side in an axial direction using a fourth tool 78e. |
