The present invention relates to a cathode active material, specifically, a cathode active material doped with a trivalent metal (Me), and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. According to one aspect of the present invention, provided is a cathode active material which is doped with a trivalent metal (Me) and represented by the formula LixMn2MeyO4 (here, x is 0.5-1.3; and y is 0.01-0.1). According to the present invention, the elution of manganese ions from the cathode active material can be significantly reduced, and thus the capacity and the cycle lifespan of the battery can be significantly improved. |
