A wind turbine generator is characterized in comprising: a nacelle which is supported by a tower; a rotor to which blades which are subjected to the force of wind are provided, the rotor being rotated by wind acting on the blades; a rotor shaft which is connected to the rotor and which is rotatably supported by the nacelle; a generator which generates electric power by the rotational force of the rotor shaft; and at least two rigidity improving sections which are provided on the inner peripheral surface or the outer peripheral surface of either the rotor shaft and/or the tower when the wind turbine generator comprises a drive train which transmits either vibration generated during the operation of the generator or the rotational force of the rotor shaft to the rotor shaft, the at least two rigidity improving sections being provided at an interval which is set to correspond to the frequency of vibration generated during the operation of the drive train, the at least two rigidity improving sections being arranged in the direction of propagation of the vibration. |
