The invention relates to a method for controlling a recuperation power of a recuperation-capable drive (14) of a motor vehicle (12). A future temperature-control effort is first ascertained, said effort representing the energy required to cool or heat the motor vehicle (12). A temperature-control proportion of a recuperation power which has been extracted from the kinetic energy of the motor vehicle (12) is then conducted to a temperature-control device (102). The temperature-control device (102) uses the temperature-control proportion of the converted recuperation power to heat or cool a motor vehicle interior (100) of the motor vehicle.
