The cover is designed in relation to the rear window wiper shaft, so that a cable duct extends in a vehicle interior in such a manner that cables for controlling the opening- or locking system extends in the cable channel for protection from harmful influences. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a device for activating opening- or locking of a tailgate of a vehicle.
