A video display device according to an embodiment comprises a registration means, a transmission means, a receiving means, and a control means. The registration means registers a keyword. The transmission means transmits the keyword to a server. The receiving means receives control information from the server on the basis of the keyword. The control means carries out switching on power, channel switching, or switching off power, on the basis of the control information. |
