PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely diagnose the deterioration of a battery while considering the influence of temperature on the battery in use.SOLUTION: The battery performance estimation method includes the steps of: measuring the temperature, the current and the voltage of a secondary battery under charge or discharge; estimating the internal resistance value of the battery using data of the temperature, the current and the voltage of the battery measured and previously held data representing a relation between open-circuit voltage and charge amount of a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode active material; calculating a reaction resistance component, an ohmic resistance component and a diffusion resistance component based on the estimated internal resistance; and correcting the internal resistance value to a value obtaining by combining the reaction resistance component, the ohmic resistance component and the diffusion resistance component after temperature correction. |
