PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method for multitasking operation and a terminal supporting the same that can make the multitasking operation more intuitive and easier.SOLUTION: An image display method for multitasking operation comprises: displaying a first one of a plurality of function execution screens at a top end of a display unit; receiving a first touch input; and displaying, in response to the first touch input, a first layer separation object concurrently with the first function execution screen. The first layer separation object causes a second one of the plurality of function execution screens to be at least partially displayed at the top end of the display unit.
