PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket which can prevent falling of a straight tube lamp. ! SOLUTION: A lamp socket 1 to which a lamp is attached includes a body 30 into which a pair of lamp pins 22 projecting from the end face of a straight tube lamp 21 are inserted from an insertion port 33, provided at the lower end, in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the lamp 21, and has a rectilinear guide part for linearly guiding the lamp pins 22 from the insertion port 33 to a first position, and a rotation guide part for guiding rotation of the lamp pin 22 from the first position to a second position where the lamp pin 22 is supported in contact with a terminal. The body 30 is provided with a regulation part 10 which moves between a regulation position for regulating rotation of the lamp pin 22 arranged at the second position, and a release position for releasing regulating of rotation of the lamp pin 22 by a predetermined operation. !
